I just purchased a 2000 b21tlb form an auction, I have ordered the operators manual from the dealer but he gave me a price of 151.00 for the shop manual can anyone tell me where to find one that isn't so high priced. Thanks Dave

That sounds pretty rich even if it were in $CDN. It's about what I paid CDN for my 2-volume parts manual. A few years back the shop manual was around $70.
What the price sounds like is a single volume job from a printer for a title that's out of stock. I was warned when I order my parts manual that I might have to wait quite awhile for the printer to do another printing and I might have been really dinged if I didn't want to wait. I don't know if it's possible to contact the publisher directly to find out if it's out of stock and if there are plans to do another printing and if the price of a reprint might be less than a custom order.
Alternatively, there are after-market manuals around at least for fairly common compact models. Doing a web search on 'tractor manuals' probably would turn up a few sources. However, there might be a downside. I heard a story from a guy who had an electric problem. He ordered an after-market manual. When it was delivered he found that it didn't include a wiring diagram, which was what he bought the manual for.

It's not like the manual's will cover just the B-21 as they use seperate engine and chassis manuals. I would look at the dealer manuals to order, as for what many people will do is beyond the manuals and for some it is beyond there mechanical ability as they don't give the basics. ....

Congrats, I also have a B-21 TLB I just kinda found it the price was great I was not shure of the 21 hp at thw time i was looking at a NH TC33D but what the heck. Anyway E-BAY I baught the owners manual form the dealer (Toilet paper) so went to e-bay and on the 3rd try found one for $49.00. good luck ....

As Sopt suggested, ebay usually has quite a selection of manuals available...worth trying I'd say.
